COMMENT. The name Dicellura Cook 1896 (which does not belong to genus-group and is regarded by us as a circumscription-based name) is a hemihomonym of a generic name Dicellura Haliday 1865 (which is a junior objective synonym of the generic name Iapyx Haliday 1864).

The name Dicellura initially was given to an order, which included a family Iapygidae, but did not include
Campodeidae; no one of representatives of Prodicellura was described at that time. After that, different authors differently
concretized meaning of the name Dicellura. The name Dicellura s.str. (sensu Borner 1904) (= Dicellurata Pages 1959) belongs to a taxon, which does not include Prodicellura; this taxon is holophyletic (Kluge 2000). The name Dicellura s.l. (sensu Cook 1899 [ New Dicellura. – Proc. Entomol. Soc. Washington, 4: 222-229]) belongs to a taxon, which unites Dicellurata and Prodicellura;  holophyly of this taxon is questionable.
