MODERN STATUS:  the senior synonym of Palpigradi; belongs to a generally accepted, holophyletic taxon.

COMMENT. The name Microthelyphonidae, being non-typified, by its form resembles typified names, such as Thelyphonida (i.e. Thelyphonus/f). Because of this, its junior circumscriptional synonym Palpigradi is preferable.
