COMMENT. Originally, besides Protura and Rhabdura, the taxon Prothysanura included Protapteron indicum Schepotieff 1909 – an insect which was described as an intermidiate form between Protura and Rhabdura; for this species, a suborder Rhammatocera Borner 1910 was established. Rimskiy-Korsakov (Римский-Корсаков 1911) concluded that Protapteron indicum was a wrongly described representative of Protura.
